The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert

Another mini review from me, and I do recommend this one! I also watched "White Oleander" tonight, which I've seen once before. Great book and a great movie. It also won't be available to instant watch after the 22nd!

Title: The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert [R]
Year: 1994
Starring: Hugo Weaving, Guy Pearce, and Terence Stamp

Mini Review
I went into this expecting a typical friends go on a road trip, things go wrong, hijinks ensue, but similar to "To Wong Foo." Some friends did go on a road trip, things did go wrong, but not many hijinks. That's okay because the trip was fun, and there were nice little twists along the way. This was a very fun movie, and it did have some serious scenes, which I think were well done but didn't put a damper on the entire film. I really enjoyed this movie, not as much as "To Wong Foo," but it's definitely one I wouldn't mind watching again. I also loved all of the lizards running around. In fact, one of the clips of a horned lizard was used a photo in one of my Herpetology lectures!

Don't be shy about posting what you've been watching!

This was actually the basis for To Wong Foo.

I very much liked this. I also love "Strictly Ballroom", so I think I might have an Australian film fetish. :)
